PACE (Providing Achievable Community Education)

This programme was designed to improve the employability of the long-term unemployed and remove external barriers to employment and learning through participation in Community Learning Clubs (CLCs)

The programme was delivered focusing on the needs of the individual and led to the development of a tailored learning and development plan.

It created:
  • Four Community Learning Clubs in three of the most deprived wards in Ipswich and one in Sudbury.
  • Supported clients in achieving certified/accredited outcomes.
  • Helped clients to achieve measurable progress with employment skills.
  • Arranged 'work taster' placements for clients.
  • Supported clients to progress into employment, further training or volunteer placement.
