Programme stages
Awareness
Either in a small group or one-to-one with a trained InBiz business adviser, you'll learn about the benefits or pitfalls of becoming self employed. In a confidential discussion about your business idea, you and your business consultant will start planning, taking into account your experience and skills. Together you’ll look at areas where you might need help such as funding or extra training.
Planning and Preparation
By getting the basics right you'll be in a better position to start trading and succeed. Working closely with your business adviser you will produce a plan suited to your idea and your circumstances including cash flow projections.
Getting Starting
Once you have decided to start, you'll be able to ‘test trade’ your business for a period agreed with your business adviser without having to give up benefits or allowances.
Survival and Support
Running your own business is rewarding but can involve facing challenges. InBiz offer the support of a business adviser long after the programme has finished. In some areas, InBiz operate ongoing programmes to assist you further.
