InBiz Celebrates Ealing Entrepreneur Success
InBiz on Uxbridge Road, Ealing, is celebrating helping entrepreneur Alan Long, 40, from Ealing, launch his own software company.
Alan worked in government regulation for almost ten years before being made redundant. He then moved into IT where he was a Director, focusing on the education sector. Unfortunately, he was made redundant for a second time. Bringing together his experience within both IT and educations, Alan had the idea to start an IT company supplying software to the education sector. To get his business off the ground, he sought help from InBiz, an organisation specialising in the promotion and development of self employment and entrepreneurship. At the Ealing office, he was assigned to a personal business adviser, Mike Khattar.
With help from Mike, Alan was able to formulate a business plan, incorporating bookkeeping, tax and marketing. Launching a business is hard work, and Mike was always on hand to provide support and advice if Alan suffered doubts or had any concerns.
Alan’s business, CREATIO, has been operating for six months, providing IT software for schools and colleges in the UK. Having already secured two major contracts, Alan hopes his business will become the new market leader in 18 months.
Alan said: “Working with Mike and InBiz has empowered me to follow my dream to be my own boss. I am passionate about my business, and believe I can make a real difference to education in the UK. InBiz taught me a lot about managing a business. I couldn’t have been successful without the help of InBiz.”
Richie Hamden, Area Manager for London, said: “Alan’s story is a good example of the work that InBiz is doing in Ealing. Alan had all the IT skills and experience in the education sector he needed to run a business. InBiz provided the practical advice to allow him to turn his business idea into a reality.”
