Phillip, 35, had struggled to find employment for a number of years. He contemplated going into self employment for quite some time, while being out of work and also previously having a broken hip. He wanted to make a success of his life and had some ideas he wanted to follow up. He felt he had the skills set needed to be able to do this including sales, customer service and care, and I.T.
With InBiz support and guidance, and using his past knowledge and experience in car boot sales and house clearances, Phillip set up 'Spot on Cleaning', a house and business clearance service. He clears houses, flats, shops, sheds, lofts, warehouses, moves furniture and old stock. He also has an online shop and a redistribution warehouse where 95% of the items are recycled. However, he gets most of his income from clearance payments.
Phillip is enjoying having his own business and really likes helping others too. He feels 'Spot on Cleaning' has changed his life, his better off, happier, has learnt more skills and is pleased to give back to people who are on benefits.
Phillip hopes that this positive experience will inspire others to have a go at building a business themselves. He thinks that someone interested in setting up their own business could benefit from visiting past InBiz customers like himself to see how InBiz helped has him. Phillip’s goal is to grow his business and become a household name.
