Christopher (Brixton)

Christopher, 38, left his corporate job in November 2009 to go travelling. When he returned he decided that he did not want to work for someone else. He wanted the freedom to test his own ability. He had the idea of starting this business four years ago, and felt finally it was the time to take the risk. His idea was an online business targeting Green/Eco/Ethical consumers, providing special offers, product reviews and quality content around green retailers.

InBiz supported Christopher with putting his ideas into a formal plan. He received coaching and mentoring support whilst developing his product, and financial assistance during the development of his business.

He found the most challenging part of setting up his business was managing suppliers, but found creating a website and presenting his ideas most enjoyable.

Christopher feels creating his own business has given him freedom and he is more motivated and excited for himsel. In a year's time Christopher hopes to have established an online brand, and in five years he plans to be the number one online brand in the UK for Green Consumers.
